This blog is devoted to recording and discussing strategies for the deep energy retrofit project on my 1951 Chicago bungalow. My main goal is to use the comments section to record important discussions on the numerous engineering challenges to be met. I'm starting this primarily as an upgrade to the long email exchanges between Jim Kor and myself: I think this platform will lead to a better organized and better preserved conversation. Another advantage is that others can join the conversation, or read along to learn from the conversation.
The "labels" to the right will be used as folders or categories (e.g. Roof, Walls, HVAC, etc.)
